Great Hites Rant

I had a lapse in judgement and I decided that everyone would be interested in what I was thinking about the state of this little community that we "live in."During this lapse in judgment I talked about why it is that I write, why I started GreatHites and why I think it is so important that if you are doing this, meaning writing and not specifically GreatHites because it is something you enjoy doing that you should keep doing it.So to the meat and potatoes of this rant:What I started to say…See More

Fading HorrorBy: Justin LowmasterEli ground the herbs in the bowl with the stone. The fragrance touched his nostrils and old memories that haunted the darkest caves of his mind writhed into his thoughts. Looking around Eli saw the young childrenplaying with the ball made of tightly wound vines. They tossed the balland kicked it without a single look of worry on their faces. Hi JP, With editing and all, it ususally takes about 3 times as long as a straight read with no mistakes, so a five minute read, may take 10- 15 minutes for a semi-finished product. The recording is done in Audacity or GarageBand (MAC) and should…

I find a story of about 1500 words initial recording time is 12 to 14 min. It will edit down and end up at 8 to 10 min finished time. I think levellating is done when you are putting a few recordings from different sources together. I just audacity…

I appreciate that you are willing to record stories for people that cannot do so themselves. I have a question, for everyone's information. How long does it take for you to record something? Let's say that it's five minutes long. The…

My process usually starts with a mood. My mind grumbles to itself until my hand decides to betray all my thoughts and puts them down in writing. It's rare that I read over my work more than once or twice for grammar and spelling (more for…

You are a baby child. I am old like the rocks and trees. Well technically the rocks are older than then trees, but since trees fall down and decompose into dirt, and dirt eventually forms rocks, I guess the tress could be called the parents of the…

How Do you write

One of the coolest things about writing, in my humble opinion, is how everyone seems to do it differently. Some people outline, others write story bibles. Some people plan every little detail and know in their heads where the story will go and what each character will do along the way.

There are hundreds if not thousands of methods that can take to make writing work for you. There are books upon book of different methods of what worked for other people. There are style…

Great Hites Season 2 Episode 10

Being somewhat ego centric, I wanted to say just a couple things about my story.

The Galactic Battle Base should have been my Nanowrimo story this year. I may have been able to bring that story to a conclusion, where as my characters on Ganymede and Callisto are still hanging out in hte middle of a story (at the 60,000 word point) with no clear direction of where they will be going soon.

The Battle Base has more than a million people on board,…
